This chapter presents ten movement parties of the far right in Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden. To shed light on the different ways in which protest can be combined with elections, the chapter positions these collective actors in their respective national contexts, specifically focusing on the accessibility of the electoral market and the strength of the far-right movement sector. Combining original protest event data and information on institutional representation, the chapter classifies the ten cases on the basis of their different trajectories in the protest and electoral arena, distinguishing between ‘dormant’, ‘unfulfilled’, ‘institutional’, and ‘accomplished’ movement parties.
