Foucault’s declaration that “l’époque actuelle serait peut-être […] l’époque de l’espace” (Foucault 1994b 752) in his text “Des espaces autres” is famous. By contrast, his affirmation that literature itself was becoming spatial is considerably less known. In his short text “Le langage de l’espace”, published in 1964, Michel Foucault wrote:
