Redactions made by the first five groups of Cablegate media partners include the New York Times' refusal to print that US payments to influential figures in Libya had been made via “oil services companies” and the Guardian's redaction of speculation that Yulia Tymoshenko might be sheltering her wealth in London. Der Spiegel declined to publish US diplomats' critical comments on Angela Merkel's policy decisions ( Assange 2012: 221– 222).
