            Professor of the Philosophy and Sociology of Law and a Researcher in the Centro de Estudios de Cultura e Identidad (CECI) at the Universidad de Holguín, Cuba. His research focuses on the history of Cuban political-legal thought, about which he has published in journals in Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Cuba.

His research focuses on Latin American immigrant incorporation in the United States, U.S.-Cuba relations, and youth and young adults in contemporary Cuba.
