The term ‘fallist’ refers to the contemporary struggle against multiple and intersecting dimensions of anti-black racism and the ongoing pursuit of racial justice. The term was articulated and defined by the #RhodesMustFall and #FeesMustFall movements that took place from 2015 to 2017 across universities in South Africa. For further discussion see Rhodes Must Fall (2015), Naidoo (2016).
