There is widespread worldwide interest in developing ways to approach and contend with the possibility of risk to human endeavor, or even human existence, from artificial generalized intelligence, typically referred to now as AGI. This work emphasizes two critical aspects of AGI safety and oversight: public trust and the need for commercialization. It also briefly raises concerns with other current approaches to this topic and provides a methodologyto assess risk in an AGI application and publicly label it in order to meet the requirements of these two critical components for AGI safety in the future.
