Kunming is the capital of Yunnan Province, a Southwest Frontier Province in China. It is also one of the most important central cities in the southwestern frontier region of China. Theurban agglomerationsincentralYunnan plays an important role in the economic development of Southwest China and East Asia. In recent years, the situation of Kunming to its surroundingradiationareasshowssomenewfeaturesand patterns. Based on the panel data of cities and counties in theurban agglomerationsincentralYunnan from 2015 to 2019, this paper uses spatial econometrics method to research the radiation pattern of Kunming where is the central city of urban agglomeration in central Yunnan to its surrounding economic circle. The resultsshow that unlike previous observations, the radiation pattern of Kunming to the central Yunnan region is dominated by the "regurgitation-feeding" effect, and the collaborativedevelopment effect of urban agglomerations has started toemerge.
