Ecotopia: An App that Mitigates Ecological Problems Worldwide

Climate change has been getting worse throughout each decade due to pollution. That is why I developed an app called Ecotopia to prevent climate change from getting even worse. With an interpreted GPS to track real-world locations, Ecotopia allows individuals to go near any marked areas known as Ecomarks throughout the map, which include volunteer work, clearing trash/debris, and preserving endangered species. People can share posts to these Ecomarks showing what progress has been made. The Ecomarks also have brief summaries about any specific issues and how they can help to resolve these issues. In general, not only does the Ecomarks build networks and relationships via posts, but it can also increase awareness about these problems from summaries and update posts. Specifically, Ecomarks encourage audiences to learn about our world's current situation, and why these threats exist. However, it may not resolve every problem from each Ecomark because the posts are not sent directly towards governments and organizations. These posts are generally designed to attract various communities that could get involved in doing. Furthermore, there are some people that could potentially make these issues even worse, which can have a huge impact on climate change. Overall, if we want to get governments and organizations involved in Ecotopia, there will have to be a majority of people sharing posts worldwide.
