First-in-Human Case Report : Cleaner Vac Thrombectomy System for Large-Volume Caval Thrombosis

Management of large-volume venous thromboembolism (VTE) and inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombosis presents a complex therapeutic challenge. Traditional thrombectomy devices may be insufficient to rapidly and effectively clear thrombi, particularly in patients with contraindications to anticoagulation or a history of filter placement. This case report details the first-in-human use of the the Cleaner Vac thrombectomy system, a novel mechanical device designed for efficient removal of large volumes of thrombus while preserving venous structure.
