In their article, Dai et al describe how the autonomous agent Auto-GPT can process various sources of information and produce several findings on the subject of Alzheimer's dementia.
The article represents pioneering work because autonomous agents are a current development trend in the application of artificial intelligence. Autonomous processing makes it possible to handle the ever-increasing amount of medical information.
The structure and function of the autonomous agent are presented in a clearly understandable manner. The results of the data analysis, based on various online texts, show what autonomous agents can be capable of in conjunction with LLM. The authors also address weaknesses and criticisms of this technology.
It would be desirable to make the source code public so that this pioneering work can also be applied to other medical topics. It would also be of interest to see what further development steps the authors suggest for autonomous agents in the field of medicine.
